Education

I recently graduated from the University of Miami with honors in English Literature and a minor in History. During the three years that I was in college, I took 15 English classes and a total of 20 writing-credit classes. I wrote over 30 college-level essays, finishing with a 3.9 GPA in my English major. In my final year, I chose to write an optional senior thesis in which I analyzed literary meaning in William Blake's epic poem, "America a Prophecy." For my work, I was recognized as the honoree for UM's "Outstanding Student in Literary Studies Award".

Experience

I have two years of tutoring experience in English and History at the middle school and high school levels and have edited many essays for college classmates. I am very passionate about literature, writing, and rhetoric. I greatly enjoy sharing the benefits of these subjects with my students and helping them realize how fundamental they are to everyday success. I have accomplished this with my students by giving my lessons a real-world application whenever the opportunity arises to do so. However, the primary priority will always be to cater my lesson to your needs.
