Recently, I graduated from Florida State University, earning my degree in English with a focus on writing, editing, and media. While attending university, I also took a number of classes in things like writing and classical rhetoric. I also worked as a news director at the radio station at my university, WVFS Tallahassee. While working at the radio station, I was responsible for teaching other students who worked there how to communicate clearly during our daily programming. I would also hold a meeting once per week with the staff, teach the on-air talent how to speak in an audible manner, and show the staff writing techniques in a number of genres.As a tutor, I realize that some students do not enjoy writing and reading, but I know that these activities are part of everyday life. Therefore, we should all put effort into them. I try to help my students to stop feeling like reading and writing are a chore, as the more they enjoy them, the easier they become to master.In my free time, I like singing with the radio on, spinning in the mornings, watching Netflix, and playing Words with Friends on my phone.
