Experience
I went to the University of Iowa to earn my bachelor's degree in reading and elementary education. I then went on to Concordia University to earn a graduate degree in educational leadership. I'm now attending Grand Canyon State University for an additional graduate degree in special education. I have over a decade of teaching experience, including being a pre-K teacher, a kindergarten teacher, and the first grade teacher. I'm currently teaching language arts and reading at the first grade level. I'm dedicated to help my students succeed, and I value relationships I build with students, parents, educators, and the community to help students learn effectively. I use a number of different teaching strategies when I cover material to connect with as many different learning needs as possible in the classroom. As a tutor, I can focus on one student and their specific learning style, I'm looking forward to helping the students reach their goals. In my free time, I enjoy sailing, fishing, scuba diving, quilting, cooking, and reading.
