Experience
I previously worked as a teaching assistant for high school students with learning disabilities. I can tutor and teach in any of the various subjects listed, but I also specialize in teaching organization and study skills. My experience with learning disabilities includes dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD/ADHD, and autism. I am an excellent writer, both professionally and academically; I currently write my own blog. I also have counseled students on university applications and options, as well as what high school classes may or may not be important when considering university. I love helping students learn to create habits that will help them succeed now and in the future, not just memorize information for a test. I am extremely patient with students, gentle, and easy to work with. I believe in teaching students how to advocate and work for themselves - I will not do work for them. Teaching students strong study habits and organizational skills, in addition to learning specific subject material, will give students the best chances for succeeding long term.
